Home-School Agreement

This page contains details of the current Home-School Partneship Agreement for St Hugh's School, including the responsibilities of staff, governors, parents, carers and students.

Our Aims

We aim to help students to:

  • Learn things which will be useful for leaving school
  • Be understood by friends, by staff and by parents
  • Have time to be themselves and time to express their feelings
  • Be able to tell the truth
  • Be physically and mentally healthy
  • Fit into society
  • Respect and care for others
  • Feel safe, secure and important
  • Behave properly
  • Have fun and enjoy school

We will support students by:

  • Looking after them during the school day
  • Understanding their difficulties and teaching them how to overcome their challenges
  • Teaching what is needed and helping them to achieve their potential
  • Giving praise and encouragement
  • Explaining to them clearly what is expected
  • Preparing them for the future
  • Listening to them, even when we are busy
