As part of the visit, the students were able to see the different equines at the centre and learnt how the charity helped them. Whilst at the centre, the students presented Bransby with £60 they raised through collecting loose change in a small decorated bottles, which had been sent home for parents and carers. With the money that was raised the students were able to adopt a horse from the adoption scheme at Bransby. The students choose a horse called Justice, an ex-police horse. The staff from 3/ 4 SR also put some money together to adopt another horse from the adoption scheme called Jigily. During the day at Bransby the students were able to meet Justice and Jigily, spending plenty of time with them, petting and having photographs taken. The students also had the opportunity to groom donkeys which was great fun for the donkeys and for the students. The students really connected with the horses and the horses all seemed to enjoy spending time with the students.
3/4SR enjoyed their time at Bransby so much they are continuing to raise money for the charity throughout the rest of the year.
