Remembrance Towers

You are here:

On Friday 11th November everyone in school gathered around our Remembrance Garden to remember all the people who have died in war or been affected by war.

We were once again privileged to have John Gallagher from the Royal Hospital Chelsea attend and also the Reverend Marian Toyne who officiated the service. The Last Post and Reveille was played by Liz Blandford from Barton Town Band. We had representatives from the TA Centre and one of our teachers Tom Thatcher read In Flanders Fields. Ashley in 7/8BK read a poem titled Somme by Roger Stevens.

After the service each team placed their section of the Remembrance Towers on the posts.
