On Friday the 20th of April, 7/8 SB enjoyed having the opportunity to visit a Sikh Temple called a Gurdwara.
Students took part by entering the temple and taking off their shoes, they each wore a headscarf and listened carefully as they were guided around the Sikh place of worship.
Students experienced a traditional Sikh ceremony in which they listened to a reading from a book called the Guru Granth Sahib. In the Gurdwara the book has its own locked bedroom. We were very fortunate to have a look inside; it even has its own bed!
