Tuesday morning was busy with our meal planning and preparation where we made a delicious vegetarian lasagne, garlic bread and a healthy salad. This was followed by an autumnal apple crumble. Everyone enjoyed their lunch.
We visited Scunthorpe town centre and St Johns market on Thursday and practised our numeracy skills in Sarah’s café to order and pay for a drink.
In Life Skills this week we have been working on pet care. We have looked at the different things our pets need to keep healthy and talked about who is responsible for looking after them. The most popular pet in our class is a dog! We are looking forward to a visit from a veterinary nurse in a few weeks’ time to learn more. We have also been exploring the different choices we have to make in our lives and who can help us to make those choices. We are able to identify good and bad choices and can discuss what happens after we have made those choices. We have found that most parents are happy when students make the good choice of tidying their bedrooms!
