Year 10 students again had the fantastic opportunity to go on work experience for a week in March. Work placements were carefully matched to students' aspirations and interests and local businesses kindly offered their support. Students had a great time on their work experience. As you can see from the photographs, they experienced a range of different work activities, giving them chance to practise and develop their employability skills.
Students reported back that their work experience was "fun" and "awesome". They found it "tiring" but thought it helped to develop skills such as patience and independence.
St Hugh's staff and students would like to thank the following businesses for their support with our work experience programme. We look forward to working with again in the future:
- Holme Hall Golf Club
- H&H Equestrian
- Little Acorns Pre-School
- Little Goslings Nursery
- North Lincolnshire Council IT Department
- The Pods Leisure Centre
- St Luke's Primary School
- UCNL Library
We are always on the look out for new businesses who could offer work experience placements to our KS4 and KS5 students. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if this is something you could help us with.
