Careers Information for Employers

The overwhelming majority of young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities are capable of sustainable, paid employment with the right preparation and support.

We welcome support from a variety of employers and are always looking to develop our links further.

We are looking to increase our range of partners and employers in order to improve our careers programme for our young people. If you are a local company and think you can contribute to our programme, please contact our Careers Lead, Dr. Rachel Brunt.

Key developments for us are:

  • Providing relevant and engaging work experience placements for all students in Year 10.
  • Increasing our employer engagement to enable all students to have meaningful interactions with employers at regular events held each year. This may be in the form of employer engagement days, business breakfasts or celebration events.
  • Developing student access to apprenticeships, supported internships and traineeships alongside local employers.
